  • Change the World Award

The goal of the Change the World Award is to recognize Multicultural & Gender Studies graduates who have made substantial contributions to social justice efforts while at Chico State and aid them in their transition into their chosen social justice profession. We know that changing the world is hard work, and these diversity and inclusion leaders will have demonstrated their dedication and willingness to sacrifice for important causes. However, recent graduates face additional stressors and expenditures as they relocate, shift wardrobes, and enter the job market. We would like to lighten that load a little, so that recipients of this award can get right to the activism and advocacy work they are all about—and that our world needs so urgently. This is a $500 award given to 2 outstanding students who are making a significant effort to change the world.

Eligibility: To be eligible for this award, you must meet the following criteria:

    • Have a valid Gmail address (this includes student emails ending with @mail.csuchico.edu)
    • Must be a Multicultural and Gender Studies major
    • Must be graduating between May and December 2022.
