Subject: Significant Change to the Bachelor of Arts in Social Science
Upon the recommendation of the Academic Senate and with the concurrence of the Provost, I approve significant changes to the BA in Social Science. The number of units will change from 45-46 to 43 by expanding the core from 9 units to 22 units and reducing the units in each option to 21. This change also updates the curriculum in the interdisciplinary areas of concentration and expands online opportunities for distance education students. This change will be effective fall 2023.
