April 4, 2024 – Steering Committee Begins Work on New Strategic Plan

Dear Campus Community, 

The Strategic Plan, which has guided our campus since 2019, sunsets at the end of this academic year. As I announced at the start of the spring semester (PDF), we have assembled a steering committee to help guide the development of a new strategic plan. 

The committee is beginning to embark on the creation of Chico State’s Playbook for success and wants to hear first from the campus community about what they think is important moving forward. This will help us better understand the kind of university we want to become for our students, the kind of workplace we want to inhabit, and the kind of institution that can lead our region and state. 

The committee is in the early stages of gathering input and will begin piloting discussions with various constituent groups this spring. These discussions will continue in the fall and there will be ample opportunities for everyone on campus to participate.

I would like to thank the members of the steering committee for taking on this work.
