Annette Heinemeyer
Inspired by the mission, strategy, people, and priorities of the Center for Regenerative Agriculture and Resilient Systems, Annette brings a background in interdisciplinary research, data management, project management, and reporting to her role as Project Portfolio Manager for CRARS.
A product of the University of Cincinnati (BS in Computer Science), Annette developed software applications to integrate laboratory analyzers with data acquisition systems, and supprt analysis and reporting needs for a series of university, government, and business clients. These efforts led to work with clinicians and researchers to define and develop metadata-driven database applications that facilitated specification of new research protocols while improving consistency of clinical trial data processing for FDA reports.
Serving as an Agile/Lean software development coach, scrum master, and project management consultant for many years, Annette worked with businesses and government institutions, training over forty teams to solve technical and business problems through transparency, inspection, and adaptation.
An advocate for indigenous language preservation, Annette partnered with indigenous communities and the Phoenix Indian Center on IRB-approved research while completing MA coursework in cultural and linguistic anthropology at Arizona State University.
In her spare time, Annette enjoys bicycling, hiking, serving as the literature chair for a non-profit organization, and (much to her husband's chagrin) adopting feral cats.
