Splinter Reeds is the Bay Area's first reed quintet comprising five virtuosic musicians with a shared commitment to commissioning and performing the best of today's contemporary compositions. Freely juxtaposing multiple musical styles and aesthetics, the quintet will be presenting a program culled from their extensive performance repertoire, featuring compositions from their recent release, Hypothetical Islands.
