CAL$ understands that course materials decisions weigh many factors, including, for example, teaching style, student readiness, content quality, and ancillary material availability. As such, there is no one-option-fits-all model for eliminating course costs. Chico State faculty have saved students money using a variety of methods including adopting existing OER, adapting/revising/remixing existing OER or library resources, or creating their own.
