Solar Eclipse on Monday, August 21, 2017

A total solar eclipse, when the moon completely covers the sun, will occur across 14 states in the continental U.S. on Aug. 21, 2017. The last time a total solar eclipse has been visible from the continental U.S. was in 1979. The next one won't be until 2023. Eclipse viewers in Chico will witness approximately 80% coverage of the sun and the peak coverage will occur at approximately 10:17am local time. DO NOT LOOK DIRECTLY AT THE SUN.
