Project Title: Research gaps of knowledge of the Microsoft Registry for forensic use

CINS 548 is a computer forensics class that explores how to perform an investigation of a Windows 10 computer. One of the main resources that forensic investigators use is the Microsoft Registry, also known as the hive. The registry stores thousands of records of data related to everything that has taken place on the computer. However, the registry is not very documented by Microsoft so it is up to the forensic community to discover relevant data stored in the registry. The plan is to have students research values in the register and determine if these previously undocumented values would help contribute meaningful information to a forensic investigation.
