I’ve been in Chico for over a decade, which feels much like my home in our neighboring Plumas County. I transferred from Butte College to Chico State and completed my bachelor’s degree in English with the option in education in 2019. I continued at Chico State to earn my master’s in teaching in 2021. As a proud PATH Scholar alum, my personal experiences also inform my work to better support students of similar backgrounds toward becoming more self-compassionate, empowered advocates of their own success. In my personal time, I try to keep up with my energetic four-legged child, pick up where I left off in my latest read, and listen to NPR Tiny Desk Concerts.
