Before Applying for Housing
Get Admitted to California State University, Chico
- Complete and submit your application for admission to Chico State.
After being accepted, activate your CSU, Chico Account. You can activate your portal account by going to the CSU Chico home page, click PORTAL near the top of the page and follow the New Student Account link.
When you fill out the housing application we will ask you for your preferred communities make sure you learn about our Communities before you apply.
Read Our License Agreement
You will sign our license agreement, which is a legally binding contract, while filling out the application. Once signed you are bound to the terms and conditions.
Review Our Room and Board Rates
Housing payments are due in 8 installments (4 per semester). Please carefully review the published rates and installment due dates.

You will be expected to abide by all University Housing policies. Failure to do so could result in the termination of your license agreement.
