About The Hub

The Hub is a common space at University Housing where residents can gather with friends, study, watch TV and movies, grab a snack and can play video games. There are two locations, one in Éstom Jámani Courtyard and another at University Village.

There are a lot of games in the Hub – from Chess to Cards Against Humanity. We have a microwave if you want to heat up your lunch and a tv to catch a show between classes. We have office supplies and a printer if you are running late to class!

The Hub offers a lot of free events – from arts and crafts opportunities to our Friday ‘Late Night in the Hub’ events. FREE FOOD is often included in Hub programs.

Chris (he/him) was born and raised in the Bay Area and is excited to call Chico home. He attended UCLA where he received his Bachelor’s in Political Science. During his time at UCLA, Chris was a Hall Government member, involved in RHA and Student Government, and was a Resident Assistant. Because of those involvements, Chris became passionate about higher education and helping students and he went on to get his Masters in College Student Development from Oklahoma State University. After graduate school, Chris moved to New Mexico where he worked as a Resident Director at New Mexico State. Chris finally returned home to California where he worked at UC Santa Cruz as a Coordinator for Residential Education before coming to Chico State to be the Hub Programs Coordinator.

Chris has a passion for developing leadership and engagement opportunities for students and helping students with their growth as student leaders. Outside of work you can find Chris enjoying the occasional Trivia Night, at the movies, trying out restaurants, or exploring everything Chico has to offer!
