TRIO Educational Talent Search Scholarship

Purpose:

The purpose of the CSU, Chico TRIO Educational Talent Search scholarship is to financially assist outstanding graduating high school seniors in furthering their education after high school.

Award:

Award amount is dependent upon funds raised by the program.

Eligibility:

  • must be currently enrolled in the CSU, Chico ETS program
  • must graduate from high school no later than June of ____
  • must plan on attending college beginning fall of _____
  • must have at least a 3.0 GPA, including fall ____ grades

CSU Chico Wildcat Scholarship Application(opens in new window)

California State University, Chico provides opportunities for scholarship awards to eligible admitted CSU Chico students. New and continuing CSU, Chico students are encouraged to apply by submitting the online Wildcat Scholarship Application using the Blackboard AwardManagement online program. New students do not need to be admitted to apply. Requires a Cal State Application to Chico State and a student ID. Scholarships are based on any or all of the following criteria:

  • Educational and career objectives
  • Scholastic achievements
  • Financial need
  • Involvement in school or community service
  • Active affiliation with clubs and organizations
  • Special qualifications (talent, obstacles overcome, relationships)

CSU Chico President's Scholarship Program(opens in new window)

The President's Scholars Program is an important part of CSU, Chico's commitment to the recruitment of highly qualified high school seniors, particularly from the North State. Since 1995, the university has offered selective scholarships to CSU, Chico students who will enroll as first-time freshmen. For the upcoming academic year, President's scholarships ($7,500 per year for four years) will be offered to qualified students. Up to seven President's scholarships will be offered to students in any major, including undeclared. Up to four scholarships will be offered to students in a major in the College of Agriculture.

Minimum Criteria

  1. First Time Freshman
  2. Fall 2022 admissions application submitted
  3. High school GPA of 3.5, and
  4. 1200 total SAT I Reasoning Test score (includes verbal plus mathematics), or a 27 composite ACT score-- NOT required for the 2022-23 academic year
  5. Full-time enrollment during awarding year

Candidates must submit the online Wildcat Scholarship Application, and have at least one on-line letter of recommendation submitted on their behalf.
