Advising Intern
Brian is a first-generation college student born and raised in Compton, California. He received a BA in Criminal Justice from Chico State and is now pursuing a Master's degree in Public Administration with an emphasis in Criminal Justice. Brian is passionate about bringing to light the policy discrepancies in our criminal justice system that affect low-income, BIPOC, and LGBTQ+ communities across the United States as a result of systematic racism. He was inspired to continue giving back to the community and provide the same great experiences for new and returning students through his internship in Academic Advising Programs. He humbly assumes the responsibility of serving as a resource for all students. In his spare time, Brian enjoys cooking, listening to music, watching The Office, playing sports, and backpacking or hiking with his dog.
