Orientation & New Student Programs

Welcome to Chico State!

Spring Orientation Rescheduled

As you may know, Spring Orientation on November 16 was canceled due to the recent California wildfires. If you registered and paid for this event, full refunds are being processed and should post in 4 to 6 weeks.

As an alternative, we are planning a free Express Orientation for Friday, December 7. Pre-registration for Express Orientation(opens in new window) is required.

If you are unable to attend Express Orientation, we encourage you to complete the free Online Orientation(opens in new window) prior to registering for spring courses.

After the start of spring semester, all new students are invited to attend the Transfer Student Reception and Welcome on Thursday, January 24, from 3 to 5 p.m. in Colusa Hall. This will be a great opportunity to meet other transfer students, connect with campus resources, and engage with faculty and staff.

For more information, see our Spring Orientation information page. We are looking forward to welcoming you to campus this spring!
