Chico State Overnight Program  

Do you want to spend additional time becoming more familiar with your new campus, bonding with other incoming students, spending time with current Chico State students? Or simply traveling from far away and do not want to drive back?  Chico State Orientation will be hosting an optional overnight program for any of the in-person orientation sessions.

Overnight Program Schedule

The in-person Orientation sessions will end around 5pm. Students that choose to continue the fun and participate in the overnight program will have dinner as a group on campus, participate in an activity on campus, and spend the evening in an on-campus residence hall. Breakfast is also included. Orientation staff will be present to assist with questions regarding your course schedule, preparing for college, or help facilitate meeting other incoming students.

What is Included

Cost to stay overnight is $80. Dinner, guided activities with other incoming students, shared room in the residence halls with linens provided and breakfast. Sheets, blankets, and pillows will be provided. Please be sure to bring your own towel as towels will not be provided.

What to Bring
  • Personal care products (toothbrush, toothpaste, hairbrush, deodorant, body wash, shampoo, etc.) 
  • Pajamas
  • Shower Towel 
  • Water bottle 
  • Phone charger  
  • Shower shoes (optional)  
  • Athletic wear (optional: if choosing to participate in any activities at the WREC)  
  • Comfortable shoes  
  • Any medications or daily prescriptions
