Book in Common

Student-Run Discussion

April 28, 2021, 5:30-6:30

The First-Year Experience Program will be hosting our second student-run online event to discuss this year’s Book in Common: How to be an Antiracist , by Ibram X. Kendi. This event is an incredible opportunity to exchange ideas and opinions about an important topic that affects our community and nation: racism.

There will be three breakout rooms, where each represents one chapter of the book; Ethnicity, Failure, and Power. Within each breakout room, there will be moderators facilitating the discussion between you and other fellow students. Since this is a student-run event, created specifically for students, there will be no staff or faculty joining the discussion. Each student has the option to sign up for one of the specified topics (Ethnicity, Failure, or Power).
