On this Eco-Cultural Tour of Chico State Campus, led by He-Lo Ramirez, expect to learn about local history, Mechoopda culture, and native plants & their uses. You can expect to learn about topics such as historical atrocities experienced by California Indians, local examples of such atrocities, Mechoopda history & culture, history of Chico State campus, native plants of high cultural importance and their indigenous uses, and indigenous land management practices.
 
He-Lo Ramirez is a biologist, educator, a current graduate student at Chico State studying Wildland Management, a cultural practitioner, and a member of the Mechoopda Indian Tribe.
