Jessica Zotz(opens in new window), who graduated in 2010 with a BA in Economics and Honors in the Major, is a strategic sourcing manager for Ross Stores, Inc.(opens in new window) in Dublin, California. While a student Jessica was a member of Phi Kappa Phi(opens in new window) and Omicron Delta Epsilon(opens in new window) while working as an instructional student aide. She worked at the local Gap store while she was an undergraduate.
After graduation Jessica enrolled at the University of New Mexico(opens in new window) where she earned her MA in Economics(opens in new window) in 2012. She worked as a graduate assistant and a supplemental lab instructor while at UNM.
In 2011 Jessica signed on as project manager at GAP Specialty, NA, where she was responsible for managing multiple cross functional projects and initiatives. Her role encompassed all product related tasks from a store execution perspective and she serves as a liaison between headquarters and field business partners, working closely with Gap's field communications team.
After several promotions at Gap, Jessica took a job at Ross Stores, Inc. in Dublin, California as senior analyst for strategic sourcing. In 2019 Ross Stores promoted Jessica to her current position as strategic sourcing manager

"Expanding upon the skill set garnered at Chico State, my educational experiences at the University of New Mexico further built out my understanding of consumer duality theory and the appropriate application of such theories in a business environment. Additionally, I was able to fine tune my quantitative and analytical skills through econometric modeling and analysis, providing my team with a specialized niche skill set, previously under represented."
