Joshua Patten(opens in new window), who graduated with a BA in Economics and a BS in Finance in 2015, is a data analyst at the Surplus Line Association of California(opens in new window) in San Francisco, California. While a student at Chico State, Joshua served as scholarship chairman, vice president and president of Phi Kappa Tau(opens in new window). He also was a member of Community Action Volunteers in Education(opens in new window) (CAVE). During his last year at Chico State, Joshua interned at the Geographical Information Center where he collected survey data from recreational users along the Sacramento River and entered the data into spreadsheets for computer analysis.

After graduation, Joshua got a job with The Surplus Line Association where he currently works. Surplus line(opens in new window) insurers provide coverage for businesses and individuals who could not otherwise get insurance. (Last Updated 12/26/18)
