Katharine Glennon

Katharine Glennon(opens in new window), who graduated in 2020 with a BA in Economics and a BA in International Relations, is the brokerage administrator for Marcus and Millichap(opens in new window) in Palo Alto, California.  Katharine enrolled at Chico State in 2015 and during her freshman year Katharine volunteered at a senior living home where she was matched with a “grandparent” who she visited twice weekly in a CAVE(opens in new window) program. 

In 2018 Katharine studied Spanish language and literature and international economics at the Universidad del Pais Vasco(opens in new window) in Bilbao, Spain. She was also a delegate to Poland for the Model United Nations(opens in new window) class. “For months I had to prepare written papers and memorize speeches. I was a delegate for the country of Poland and I won an award for being an outstanding delegate during the conference,” according to her LinkedIn page(opens in new window).

Katharine helped support herself doing office work for Chico State’s Facilities Management and Services department where she assisted in “the internal office conversion from a paper record system to a more modern and secure system, with data now stored electronically, “according to her LinkedIn(opens in new window) page. During her fifth year at the University she moved from office assistant to supplemental instructional leader for Associated Students(opens in new window) in 2019. In her instructional role Katharine submitted weekly reports on her activities with students in economics courses and she made the transition into all virtual instruction when the Covid-19 crisis hit in March of 2020.

After graduation Katharine moved into College of Business’s Seufferlein Sales Program where she managed the office and its personnel as well as payroll and invoicing. Katharine worked in this position until the end of 2020 when she moved on to Marcus and Millichap.  She is working towards getting her real estate license and establishing her career in the San Francisco Bay Area.
