F-1 Graduate Students: I-20

The F-1 immigration document is an I-20. This is required to apply for your U.S. visa.

How to obtain your I-20

Upload your financial support documentation and photocopy of the bio page of your passport to the University's secure document submission page for graduate students (pursing a Masters degree).  These are required to create your I-20.

Important Note - You may have already completed this step when you applied to Chico State. Please do not upload the same document multiple times.

Waiting Time to Receive Your I-20

Your I-20 document will be created after you are officially admitted to Chico State. After you are admitted and your required documents are uploaded (financial support form, bank statement(s), and bio page of passport, it takes between 5-10 business days to receive your I-20.

Note - The University is closed on Saturdays and Sundays during the academic year and also on Fridays in the summer months. For a list of University holiday closures, please visit our academic calendar
