The Virtual International Wildcat Headquarters (or "HQ" for short) is a virtual "starter kit" for international students preparing for their first semester at Chico State. This is your roadmap to a successful transition to your new University and community.
Inside the HQ you will find:
- Interactive Checklists to help keep you organized;
- Discussion boards to connect with other new students in your cohort;
- Tips for navigating the U.S. academic, health care, and immigration systems; and
- Tutorials on subjects of interest to new students, including: how to find housing in Chico, course enrollment, creating a graduation plan, health and safety, how to find a job, student life, and much more!
To access the HQ:
- You will be sent an email invitation to join the HQ approximately one month prior to your program start date.
- Log in to your Wildcat Email and accept the invitation to join.
- Log in to your Student Portal via the Chico State homepage (user name and password required)
- Click on Canvas
- Click on International Wildcat HQ
- Go at your own pace to complete each module
- For best results, complete all tasks by the posted deadline.
