Josh Trout

Josh Trout has been a Kinesiology professor at CSU, Chico since 2003. Hailing from the cornfields and cattle farms of central Illinois, he earned his Ph.D. from the University of Illinois along with a K-12 teaching certificate in Physical Education. In his recent administrative roles as department chair and faculty development director, Josh included components of wellness as part of his programming. Serving on the Wildcats Thrive Leadership Team provides a collaborative way for Josh to promote wellness throughout the campus community so that the gift of health becomes more widely accessible. When not teaching or working out, Josh loves hiking with his wife and dog, watching movies, and driving fast.
