Cross-Cultural Leadership Center

Jayden Knox

Cultural Program Coordinator

Jayden is an Afro-Latina, First-Generation and Second-Year student, who is Undeclared but enjoying the journey of finding herself. She was born in Fresno, CA & was raised near the Central Valley but later moved closer to East Bay.

Jayden has a passion for deep soul work, architecture, nature, & good food. Her personality is bubbly and always down for a good conversation! The best setting for a good conversation in her opinion takes place walking downtown Chico while eating a goodie from La Flor de Michoacán which is a Mexican Sweet Homemade Shop. Jayden’s go-to dessert is Mangonada!

Jayden’s favorite event that the CCLC hosted was Shades of Nature which took place at Table Mountain. Jayden wishes she brought hiking shoes to Chico because she fell in love with spontaneous hiking adventures that take place mainly in Upper Bidwill. Which goes hand in hand of why she came to Chico, the accessibility to so much nature! She spent her first year in the dorms specifically, Whitney. Her favorite part outside of meeting people so easily was all the nature all around her.

Jayden’s favorite thing about the CCLC is that every time you come in it’s like a welcoming warm hug. You always feel like you’re returning home when you come in. Jayden’s first year goals included making connections, which is why she’s thankful she was introduced to the CCLC and took the initiative to take her first step into the CCLC where the connections and opportunities are endless.
