Step 1 - Apply to CSU, Chico and EOP through Cal State Apply
- Fill out the Cal State Apply application.
- In the Personal Information quadrant, click on “Educational Opportunity Program,” which takes you to the EOP application.
- In the Supporting Information quadrant, click on “EOP Recommendations.” You need to create two EOP Recommendation Requests that you will send to two different recommenders.
- When you have completed your Cal State Apply application—along with the EOP portion—submit it.
- If you are eligible for an application fee waiver, you can submit applications to up to four colleges at no cost to you. If you are not eligible for an application fee waiver, the cost is $70 for each college you apply to.
Step 2 - File for financial aid
- You are required to file for Financial Aid before the March 2nd deadline.
Step 3 - Submit additional documentation
- First-time freshman applicants are required to submit an unofficial high school transcript and two recommendation forms. Fall applicants must submit all documents by January 31st.
- Upper-division transfer applicants are required to submit two recommendation forms. Fall applicants must have recommendation forms submitted by January 31st and spring applicants must have recommendation forms submitted by October 31th.
