How to Apply to EOP
Step 1 - Apply to CSU, Chico and EOP through Cal State Apply
- Fill out the Cal State Apply application.
- In the Supporting Information quadrant, click on “Educational Opportunity Program,” which takes you to the EOP application.
- In the Supporting Information quadrant, click on “EOP Recommendations.” You need to create two EOP Recommendation Requests that you will send to two different recommenders.
- When you have completed your Cal State Apply application—along with the EOP portion—submit it.
- If you are eligible for an application fee waiver, you can submit applications to up to four colleges at no cost to you. If you are not eligible for an application fee waiver, the cost is $70 for each college you apply to.
Step 2 - File for financial aid
- You are required to file for Financial Aid before the April 2nd deadline.
Step 3 - Submit additional documentation
- All applicants are required to submit two recommendation forms by January 31st.

- All admissions decisions will be sent to the email the students have on file.
- Decisions will be sent out November – January
