Thea Wilson, PhD

Thea Wilson teaches in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry and earned a PhD in Physical Chemistry from Northwestern University. Thea’s interdisciplinary research experience includes studying nanomaterials, organic semiconductors, and fungal biomass—all of which are united under the umbrella topics of (renewable) energy and sustainability. Her interest in sustainability and environmental issues has led her to pursue research using lifecycle assessment methodologies and incorporate them into some of the courses she teaches. She is also passionate about food, regenerative agriculture, and tiny houses.
