About the HSI Alianza*
The HSI Alianza is a community of practice committed to strengthening Chico State’s impact as a Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI) through strategic grant projects and services. It brings together HSI grant project directors, principal investigators (PIs), leaders from Chico State Enterprises (CSE), and the Director of Latinx Equity and Success.
Working collaboratively, the Alianza aims to:
Share information, insights, and best practices to maximize the success of all HSI-funded projects
Foster coordination and collaboration among HSI grant initiatives
Develop and promote strategies for strong project design, effective grant seeking aligned with the University’s HSI vision, and the long-term institutionalization of impactful programs, services, personnel, and work spaces
Advise campus colleagues in developing proposals for new HSI or other equity-minded grant opportunities
“Alianza” is Spanish for “alliance”—reflecting our shared commitment to equity, excellence, and collective progress.
