Political Science and Criminal Justice

The Chair's Message

Political Science Chair Mahalley AllenHello alumni and friends!

The Department of Political Science and Criminal Justice has had an extremely busy and productive fall semester, made all the more exciting by a historic election season! As we approach the winter break, please take a few minutes to catch up on all the news from the department, which continues to be one of the largest on campus with five undergraduate programs and two graduate programs. Beginning with this newsletter, we have decided to start highlighting individual programs in our department, starting with our two graduate programs, the Master of Public Administration and the Master of Arts in Political Science. In this newsletter, you will find articles and news about how these two programs are structured today, read about the accomplishments of an alumnae from our MPA program since her graduation, get updates from three of our former graduate students who are now in Ph.D. programs, and learn about new pedagogies in graduate teaching in our department. We hope you enjoy learning more about our two graduate programs and our excellent graduate students.

You can continue to stay updated about department news and events on the department’s website or its Facebook account.(opens in new window)
