Current MCGS Students Fight the Good Fight!
Rachel Ward is the Director at the GSEC. She is double majoring in Women’s Studies and Business Finance while minoring in Gender & Sexuality Studies. Rachel has a tendency to ship non-canon wlw characters and is known for playing musical soundtracks in the office when she thinks no one is listening.
Mikie Weidman is the Women’s Program Coordinator at the GSEC. She is majoring in Psychology and minoring in Gender and Sexuality studies. You can find her making art while watching John Water films nonstop. She likes to sing, dance, pretend, and KAZOO. Feel free to DM her your sick memes.
Drew Belisle Is the Queer Program Coordinator at the GSEC. He is majoring in Psychology with a minor in Multicultural and Gender Studies. Drew enjoys Hip-Hop dancing, watching Buzzfeed videos, and eating chocolate on a daily basis. He also loves baking and cooking anything from Oreo stuffed Nutella brownies to chicken enchiladas.
Adrien Macias is the Outreach Coordinator at the GSEC. They are double majoring in Sociology and Multicultural & Gender Studies with an option in Chicanx Studies and minor in the Gender & Sexuality Studies pathway. Adrien loves art, astrology, drag, memes, and My Chemical Romance. Chat with Adrien if you want to dive into conspiracy theories!
Seve Christian is the Trans Program Coordinator at the GSEC. They double major in Comparative Religion and Multicultural & Gender Studies, while minoring in Native American and Women’s Studies. Seve loves discussing politics, eating at Aonami Happy Hour, and watching fail videos. “Seve” Christian awarded the 2016 Chris Hilbert Outstanding Chico State Friend Award, the largest student financial award on campus.
Both a graduate and a current student, Jess received double B.A.’s in Multicultural & Gender Studies, and Political Science & Criminal Justice in 2017. That year she received both the Multicultural and Gender Studies Outstanding Student and Valene Smith Outstanding BSS Student Awards, and she graduated with Honors in the major and Summa Cum Laude.
Jess was accepted Fall 2017 to the CSU Chico Master’s in Public Administration Program.
