Multimedia Recording Studio

The Learning Glass(opens in new window) is a transparent whiteboard paired with a lecture capture system. It allows instructors to write lecture notes while maintaining face-to-face contact with students in a distance learning environment. The recordings can also be uploaded and viewed at a later time by students. All writing on The Learning Glass is mirrored by software in the room so students can view the notes normally.

Instructors present materials from a PC in the studio similar to teaching in a classroom. The exception being that there are no live attendees in the room.

COVID-19: Update

We are excited to announce that we will be beginning a “soft opening” of the studio beginning on July 20th. The hours will be from 10:00 – 2:00 from Monday – Thursday. Due to the high demand of the space, we are limiting reservations to one hour per reservation. If you would like to reserve the room, please use this link:

Reserve Recording Studio(opens in new window)

We will have a staff member on hand to let you into the room, and provide any assistance or training that you may require. If you have any questions regarding the space or with your reservation, please feel free to send an email to and one of our staff will reply shortly.

This room is highly impacted, so please be considerate of others and don’t go past your reserved time.

COVID-19 Precautions

For both your protection and ours, we ask that you wear a mask while interacting with our staff. Our staff will also wear a mask and we will maintain a 6’ separation whenever possible. We recommend that you bring your own markers if you plan on using the learning glass. For the best visibility, they should be florescent whiteboard markers with vibrant colors. We recommend the Quartet Dry Erase Markers A CTS Staff will thoroughly clean the lectern and Learning Glass studio after each use.
