Podcasting for Teaching and Learning Series

The Office of Faculty Development offered a series on podcasting for teaching and learning in Fall 2021. The series was offered in a hyflex classroom (Glenn 302), so participants were able to attend in person or via Zoom. Participants were welcomed to attend individual workshops or the whole series, based on availability and interest.

 

An Exploration of Podcasting in Higher Education

Interested in exploring podcasts as pedagogy? Join your fellow Wildcats and participate in guided discussions of the use of podcasting personally, professionally, and as a teaching practice. Together, will also examine current research on podcasting in higher education, identify how implementation aligns to UDL, and begin planning your use of podcasts for teaching and/or learning.

Are you interested in creating a podcast or learning more about what goes into creating a podcast? Would you like to have students create a podcast? If so, this interactive workshop is for you. We will work through the Podcast Cycle, brainstorm ideas for your podcast, begin creating a mission statement for your podcast, and work with audio editing software. Join your fellow Wildcats in being creative and having fun! 

 

Podcasting Projects: Enhancing Student Learning

Engaging more students through assignments and projects can be tricky, but using podcasts can help increase engagement across diverse learners. We will be led by faculty who have implemented successful podcast assignments. During the workshop they will provide insights to what works along with resources for you to begin creating podcast assignments.
