The GeoPlace Mapping Lab is a student-run spatial data development and map creation service by the Department of Geography and Environmental Studies within the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences. GeoPlace provides free mapping services to faculty, staff and graduate students that include print and hardcopy maps, digital or web-based maps, and the development of spatial and non-spatial datasets using a full suite of geospatial technology.
Student assistants are overseen by a faculty member who provides technological guidance and administrative support. GeoPlace has received past funding through Student Learning Fee awards allowing services to be provided to campus without cost to our clients.
