W-Wildcat Moment: My proudest moment here at Chico State was when I submitted a poem to the Multicultural Echoes magazine on campus and it was published. I wrote it my first semester at Chico State when I was struggling with my identity as a Latina on a predominately White campus and what that meant to me.

I-Involvement: I am actively involved in my sorority Lambda Theta Nu, Sorority Inc. as Secretary and Community Service Chair, as well as the Educational Opportunity Program, and currently serve as Secretary for the Theatre Arts Club here on campus.

L-Live: I was born and raised in Colusa, CA which is a little less of an hour south of Chico!

D-Degree: I am currently pursuing a degree in Theatre Arts and a minor in Cinema Studies with the focus of acting in the hopes of working in the Film industry.

C-Chico: I chose Chico because it was far enough but also close enough to home; I love the small town feel and that’s exactly what it feels like to live here. The campus is extremely beautiful, and I couldn't imagine spending my undergrad years anywhere else.

A-Aspirations: My biggest aspiration is to increase spaces of diversity and inclusivity for people of color in the film industry, especially for Latinos. Growing up I never saw someone that looked like me in Films or TV and that extremely affected the way I viewed myself as a child. I want to tell the stories that are meaningful and the stories that are often forgotten or buried in history. I aspire to be a voice for those who look like me and come from the same background as me because everyone deserves to be heard.

T-Tell: I want others to see me as someone they can confide in. I want to be able to use my past experiences to help others because I understand how hard it can be to be a young adult while also balancing so many things at the same time. I hope to create a safe space where people feel comfortable enough to come to me with anything that poses as a problem to them; I may not understand or know what to say, but I will always respect them and listen with open ears.
