Returning Orientation Leader

Year - Senior

Major - Multicultural & Gender Studies

W-Wildcat Moment: My proudest moment thus far, is serving as Chico State’s student representative at the Middle Leadership Academy hosted by the California State University Student Success Network.

I-Involvement: I have been highly involved on campus throughout my time here. I have held various leadership positions, including lead paraprofessional for Wellcat Safe Place, campus ambassador for the Office of Admissions, and peer mentor for First Year Experience. All these experiences have helped me grow as a leader.

L-Live: I have moved around a lot. I am originally from North Carolina. I also lived in Mexico!

D-Degree: I am in my last semester of undergrad. I will soon have my B.A. in Multicultrual & Gender Studies. I am going to pursue a Masters degree in Student Affairs and Higher Education Leadership. My ultimate goal is to get a Ph.D!

C-Chico: I decided to come to Chico as I could afford it financially and there is a strong sense of community and support on and off campus. The campus is beautiful and I fell in love with it.

A-Aspirations: I aspire to be a student affairs and equity practioner in higher education to support underrepresented students and advocate for their needs. I want education to be a transformative experience for students.

T-Tell: Make the most of your experience! Being in a new environment can be intimidating but you can make it a positive experience. Put yourself out there and follow your dreams; many great opportunities will come your way!
