Culminating Activities and Final Exams

Chico State’s policy for final exam week gives faculty the flexibility to design assessments that align with their teaching goals and support student learning outcomes.

Faculty may choose from various assessment types, including final exams, research papers, projects, creative works, performances, portfolios, or other suitable assignments. Courses such as supervision, internships, and individual study are typically exempt from this requirement.

The final assessment schedule is available through the Academic Scheduling Office (ASO). Email aso@csuchico.edu to request the scheduling matrix.

Standard Final Exam Times

Final exams are scheduled during the last week of the semester, with the following standard time slots:

Exam Details and Conflicts:

• Students can check the class syllabus or contact instructors for specific final exam details.
• Students with exam conflicts should work directly with their instructors to arrange accommodations.
