- The Cal Vet tuition waiver applies only to System-wide Mandatory Tuition(opens in new window).
- Campus Mandatory Fees(opens in new window) are not waived and are due by the payment deadline(opens in new window) each semester.
- Eligibility for this program is established by your County Veterans Service Office (CVSO)(opens in new window).
- Eligibility for the waiver must be re-established for each subsequent academic year the student plans on attending Chico State.
- Waivers processed after the payment deadline will generate a refund for any tuition paid out-of-pocket.
- Self-supported summer and winter sessions(opens in new window)charge extension fees that are not waived by this program.
- Any per-unit fee charged by Professional and Continuing Education (PCE)(opens in new window) for enrollment are extension fees and not waived.
- Students eligible for the Cal Vet tuition waiver and financial aid that is specifically designated to cover tuition (e.g., State University Grant and Cal Grant) may only receive one per semester.
- Cal Vet approval letter codes must be processed before or during the current academic (fiscal) year and the waiver can't be retroactively applied. (e.g. 2023-24 approval letters must be processed by 06.30.2024)
