Fraternity and Sorority Affairs

Fraternity and Sorority Affairs

Fraternity and Sorority Affairs (FSA) is a program under the department of Student Life and Leadership (SLL), focused on the holistic development of student leaders affiliated with a Greek-lettered organization. FSA is broken down into three different student-led governing councils which oversee our 25+ recognized fraternities and sororities.

  • College Panhellenic Council (CPC)
  • Interfraternity Council (IFC)
  • Multicultural Greek Council (MGC)

FSA ‘s student leaders at Chico State, make up 8% of the total student body. Fraternities and sororities were all founded on similar values of, Academics, Community Service/Philanthropy, Leadership, and Sisterhood/Brotherhood. If you are interested in joining a fraternity/sorority, we recommend checking out the list of our Recognized Fraternities and Sororities.

Mission and Values

Social Greek-lettered organizations play an important role in the lives of our students during their educational careers. Joining social fraternities and sororities offers our students life-long connections and a nationwide network like no other. The office of Fraternity and Sorority Affairs (FSA) is here to support our students prior, during, and after joining a social Greek-lettered organization.

To ensure the holistic well-being of our student leaders, FSA aims to continue fostering the learning and development of students who are affiliated with social fraternities and sororities through, academic excellence, leadership training, creating a sense of belonging through brotherhood/sisterhood, increasing philanthropic involvement, and intentional community wellness.
