Lauren McNamara, MS, RD

Assistant Professor, Dietetic Internship Director

Lauren is a Registered Dietitian with a master's degree in nutritional science. She is a graduate of Chico State. 

Lauren is currently working as a Clinical Dietitian at Enloe Medical Center, and teaching general education courses, such as Health At Every Size and Community Nutrition course and clinical lab. Lauren's master's project was examining the effects of the HAES course that she currently teaches on the body esteem, eating habits, and anti-fat attitudes of the college students enrolled in the course. Her work was published in the Journal of Nutrition Education and Behavior earlier this year. 

She has also worked as an outpatient dietitian at Feather River Tribal Health, providing medical nutrition therapy and counseling to low income families and the local American Indians. Lauren enjoys running, hiking, biking, gardening and of course, cooking!
