What We Do

The University's Property Management Office is responsible for the centralized equipment database maintained for Chico State. The equipment database is the University's official record of acquisitions, transfers, and dispositions of State and Foundation-purchased property.

**New** Virtual Platform – Chico State Surplus

The Property Management Office has some exciting news!  We would like to introduce our new virtual campus reuse platform called Chico State Surplus!  This system allows campus users to post functioning furniture, equipment, and office supplies to the campus community for reuse on campus.  The system will also be a source to search for department needed items.  Need a new chair?  Search Chico State Surplus first!  

This system for sharing and reusing campus supplies and equipment is built using a Microsoft product called Viva Engage which is available to all campus employees via Microsoft Teams.

We are excited to help campus sustainability goals and to save department funds by having items exchanged on the campus vs. being purchased new or transported to and from the Surplus Warehouse.
