Promote positive communication between University staff and the administration, faculty, students and community on issues of interest and concern, which fall outside the scope of collective bargaining. The council is also active in the University's affairs and in achieving its stated goals.


Implement programs and projects that are designed to benefit the staff and University.

Fall 2017 Staff Academic Award Application Period Open!

The application period for our Fall 2017 STAFF ACADEMIC AWARD is open


The purpose of the Staff Academic Award is to assist a CSU, Chico staff employee in furthering his or her educational goals. There is one $500 Fall 2017 award available, sponsored by the Chico State Administration. The award is available to a staff employee meeting the eligibility criteria. The award recipient will be announced in January 2018.



Staff Council's Annual University's Needy Children Program - Now Accepting Family Requests from Departments!

Staff Council’s annual University’s Needy Children Program is just around the corner!  If your College, Department, Individual, Group, Team, Sorority, fraternity, would like to participate you may fill out a Family Request Form and submit it to Cindy Kelly by Tuesday November 14th.
