Kate is a social worker by trade and committed herself to the Camp Fire recovery efforts after losing her own home in the fire. She enjoys being part of a community rebuilding and actively creating a healthy place to heal.

"Nature has always been part of my being since I can remember. Prior to the Camp Fire, I did not realize how important my relationship with my natural surroundings was to me. Becoming a guide was part of my healing. I love that every walk is different. You can be in the same space and have a completely unique experience. I enjoy the reminder on each walk to slow down, savor my time and senses, and really consider what I need in the moment."
