New Student Orientation & Transition Programs

Virtual Orientation Schedule

Zoom links will be sent to students a few days in advance of their session.

8:30 AM University Welcome

The Orientation Program begins for all students. Receive a warm welcome from the University and kick start your Wildcat journey!

9:15 AM Wildcat Way

Students will be placed into small groups by their major of study. You’ll begin to get to know other students in your group, learn academic success, and gain other essential information about transitioning to Chico State.

10:45 AM Workshop Session 1

A variety of campus programs will be present for you to self-select and learn more about individual resources. You’ll find yourself even more connected and supported to the warm Chico community.

11:15 AM Workshop Session 2

A variety of campus programs will be present for you to self-select and learn more about individual resources. You’ll find yourself even more connected and supported to the warm Chico community.

11:45 AM CatsConnect

Learn about the different involvement opportunities that Chico State has to offer.

12:00 PM Lunch & Campus Resource Fair

A resource fair of campus programs, services, and engagement opportunities will be available to all participants during this hour.

12:45 PM Wildcat Success Talk

Meet with key campus resources that will be vital to your success in transition to college and beyond! You’ll also gain valuable insight on how to make the most of your experience at Chico State!

1:30 PM University Advising

Learn about remaining graduation and General Education requirements and academic advising resources to support timely degree completion.

2:15 PM Academic College and Major Advising

Students will meet their college representatives and receive an overview of major course requirements and opportunities.

3:15 PM Course Registration

Finalize your semester schedule and receive support registering for your future classes from university staff.

4:30 PM Program Conclusion and Final Question and Answer session

Orientation will conclude. Students, parents and guests all have an opportunity for any final questions.

Notes:

· Students are required to attend the entire program in order to be able to register for their classes.
