Student Research Symposium 2024

Tuesday, March 5, 2024 | 5–9 p.m.
Science Building

The Student Research Symposium is designed to promote and recognize excellence in student scholarly research and creative activities. This annual symposium gives undergrad and graduate students from across campus the opportunity to present their research or creative work in one of three ways: the 3-Minute Presentation, 10-Minute Presentation, and a Poster Session

The competition also helps students develop their presentation and communication skills as they showcase their work. For some students, participation in this competition can also be noted on resumes and applications for advanced degrees as career-advancing professional development.

Congratulations to this year's Chico State Student Research Symposium participants and winners, and the winners of the CSU Statewide Student Research Competition!

CSU Statewide Student Research Competition

The 10-Minute Presentation is a “feeder” event to the CSU 38th Annual Statewide Competition on April 26-27, 2024. This year’s CSU statewide competition will be held in-person and hosted by Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.

Ten of our top presenters from the 10-Minute Presentation will be selected to compete at the event. The Office of Graduate Studies will help students to apply to and prepare for the competition, as well as pay for expenses.

Please contact to Adrienne Glatz if you have questions about the Symposium, application, or presentations.
