New Graduate Student Orientation
Kick off your grad school journey—RSVP today!
Friday, August 23, 2024
3–4:30 p.m. | Selvester's Café, Room 100
In-Person | Zoom (passcode: Grad)
Join our dynamic info session, where we'll warmly welcome you, cover all the essential details you need to know, and give you plenty of opportunities to ask questions and connect with fellow students. Whether you're curious about navigating campus life, finding the right resources, balancing coursework, or building a strong network, we've got you covered.
We'd love to see you in person for this event! But if you're an online student or a distant learner, no worries—you can still join us via Zoom (passcode: Grad). We're excited to connect with you either way! Also, here's a resource (PDF) page you might find helpful.
Just a heads up: your program might have its own orientation as well. We recommend attending both, as each one will give you important info and a great chance to meet faculty, current grad students, Graduate Coordinators, and support staff. You won't want to miss out!
We hope to see you there!
To give you a glimpse into the vibrant and supportive community that awaits you, we have put together a short video introducing some of our dedicated Office of Graduate Studies staff, who are here to help and provide valuable insights and guidance throughout the summer, during the orientation, and beyond.
Please also take a moment to read the New Graduate Student FAQs for detailed answers to questions from new grad students.
