What if my bachelor’s isn’t in Data Science and Analytics?

Students from any discipline can enter the program, including nutrition, agriculture, bioinformatics, journalism, political science, and even the digital humanities. For students with backgrounds in technical areas such as mathematics, statistics, or computer science, the machine learning track will provide deeper and more technical training that would prepare them for high-paying jobs in tech.

How long will it take?

  • The MS in data science is a 34-unit program
  • A student starting with all prerequisites completed can complete the MS in two years full-time or three years part-time
  • Students will take 25 units of core curriculum and then will have a choice of 9 units in one of two tracks, either Applied Analytics or Machine Learning
