Shana Parker

Making a Real Difference

As a nursing master’s student in the educator track, Shana Parker’s research focus aimed at discovering proven and effective strategies to reduce and prevent nurse burnout, revealing participatory action research (PAR) to be a promising strategy. PAR is an iterative and cyclical group activity in which those affected by an issue work together to solve the problem. Parker is poised to move forward in her career and, at the same time, make a real difference to those suffering from nurse burnout by making her planned intervention a reality.
