Alondra Adame Winner 2022 CSU, Chico Outstanding Project Award

Alondra Adame

Master of Arts in English graduate Alondra Adame was winner of the 2022 CSU, Chico Outstanding Project Award.

Adame's project, titled The Audacity to Live, was praised by the selection committee:

This is a beautiful collection of powerful, provocative, moving essays. I was equally impressed by the introductory chapter. It was an excellent piece of scholarship that set the intellectual stage for the creative essays to come. Truly a remarkable project, undoubtedly worthy of this award.

Adame is commended for producing such an outstanding and creative project, as is her Graduate Advisory Committee (Erin Kelly, Rob Davidson, Jeanne Clark, and Aydé Enríquez-Loya) for their role in guiding her. Her project reflects the high quality scholarly work and faculty mentoring we strive for at California State University, Chico.

Adame also presented this work at the 35th Annual Chico State Student Research Competition in 2021, and placed first in her session, moving on to represent Chico State at the prestigious Statewide CSU Student Research Competition.

Adame's name, as well as the names of her Graduate Advisory Committee members, will be engraved on the Outstanding Project plaque that hangs permanently in the Office of Graduate Studies.
