We have many opportunities to be involved at WellCat Prevention! Whether you are looking for a steady job, ways to volunteer, or an internship, WellCat Prevention would love to have you!

Job opportunities are subject to hiring availability, and is typically done at the end of spring semester for the following fall semester.

Peer Educators

The Peer Educators (PEs) are a diverse group of CSU Chico students trained to educate their classmates about college high-risk drinking, drug use, substance use disorders, recovery and wellness issues in a positive, interactive, fun, and nonjudgmental manner. 

Comprehensive, required training prepares the PEs to facilitate dynamic education and outreach programs/services; encourage physical, mental, and spiritual health; create informative awareness and education events/activities; and promote community support to create a healthy campus culture. The Peer Educators are dedicated to providing education and community support with sensitivity to race, gender, sexual orientation, culture, religion, and individual capabilities. 

Office Assistants

Office Assistants assist in the day-to-day management of WellCat Prevention Office operations and contribute to the mission of WellCat Prevention at Chico State in creating a healthier campus culture. 

Team ROAR Volunteer

Team ROAR is a volunteer opportunity composed of student leaders who conduct outreach to their peers in multiple settings. Help Team ROAR facilitate participation in the Wildcat ROAR training program and other harm-reduction activities.

Internship

WellCat Prevention accepts internships from many departments including health science, health administration, psychology, social work, and more.

We have opportunities for both undergraduates and graduates.

Graphic Design Assistant

The Graphic Designer is responsible for all promotional printed material (i.e. flyers, brochures, quarter sheets), electronic promotions (i.e. social media, WellCat Prevention announcements, 21st birthday card email), as well as website updating and maintenance.
In addition to these, the Graphic Designer must be able to assist in the day-to-day management of office operations (when needed) and contribute to the mission of WellCat Prevention at Chico State in creating a healthier campus culture.
