Classification & Compensation Services, with the guidance of the California State University (CSU) Chancellor's Office, works in partnership with the colleges and the administrative units to provide assistance in interpreting and applying fair and consistent evaluation of positions and equitable compensation.

The Employment Services Unit is here to assist the University in the planning and completion of CSU, Chico Staff and Management (MPP) recruitments.

Equal Opportunity and Dispute Resolution (EODR) provides training and assistance to the campus to implement and adhere to all policies, laws, and regulations relating to Discrimination, Harassment, and Retaliation (DHR). 

HR Information Systems

Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) provides general campus wide support of Human Resources Common Management System (CMS)/PeopleSoft modules as well as specialized support for the Human Resources Services Center (HRSC). 

Labor Relations

The Director of Labor Relations(opens in new window) administers and ensures compliance with all staff collective bargaining agreements, provides advice and guidance to management on grievances, complaints, contractual matters, and disciplinary issues.


Payroll is responsible for requesting and auditing all state paychecks for faculty, staff and students in accordance with State and CSU policies and procedures.
