Chico State has technology-enhanced rooms for instructors to use, and support staff to assist in training or reservations.
Our goal is to support faculty in finding innovative ways to provide study tools for challenging subjects. By utilizing these technologies, students can have immersive learning experiences that foster interest in the subject matter.
Our specialty rooms are:
Multimedia Recording Studio
- What: Lecture capturing and recording system for presenting materials from a PC or notes written using the Learning Glass System
- Where: Meriam Library, Room 027B
- Comes with: Professionally lit studio space, PC computer for sharing lecture materials, automatic recording to Kaltura ID, Learning Glass surface with pens and cleaning supplies
Room Features
- Allows you to record high-definition video presentations, speeches, or lectures
- Document camera or video source can be incorporated into recorded material
- Allows you to inset a video, image, or powerpoint in your recording with multiple presenter modes
- Flips things in real-time so your audience can see the material correctly, allowing you to write notes and maintain face-to-face contact

Virtual Reality Lab
- What: Immersive technology lab for faculty to experiment with augmented reality and virtual reality.
- Where: Meriam Library, Room 003
- Comes with: diverse software compatible with our AR and VR headsets
